SYNLawn® Indiana Transforms the Indianapolis Children’s Museum
When responding to the fight against childhood and adult obesity, the Indianapolis Children’s Museum chose SYNLawn® Indiana to help enhance their health and fitness exhibit! Using our highest quality and most durable artificial grass, sport surface tiles, and pour-in-place rubber surfacing, we were able to bring new life to the museum and do our part to help fight the good fight! The Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience, a 7.5-acre, $38.5 million exhibit at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis was designed with SYNLawn® eco-friendly and plant-based products stretched across 1.4-acres of land.

Pete and Alice Dye Golf Experience
This elaborately crafted museum golf exhibit for beginners to experienced players has 36 holes with over 38,000 square feet of fluctuations, seams, and hues.
Indianapolis Colts Football Experience
For an epic touchdown celebration, children and adults can pass, make field goals, and interact with “tackling dummies” in the form of historic Colts players.
Subway® Soccer Experience
This activity teaches the foundations of passing, dribbling, and shooting while also allowing children to imagine themselves as future soccer stars.
Wiese Field Baseball Experience
Families will learn about America’s game while honing their hitting and catching abilities in this activity.
During the second phase, the SYNLawn® Indiana team was asked to resurface their hockey rink as well as a running/walking track for the Children’s Museum visitors in the second phase of the museum’s design utilizing the following:
- For the track, 27,700 square feet of SYNPour™ in the Museum’s colors of green, blue, and orange were used.
- The rink features a 2,500 square foot SYNCourt™ sport surface tile system with a customized Indy Fuel logo, a local young hockey club.
SYNLawn® Indiana replaced the old concrete design of the hockey rink that was notorious for unpredictable and bumpy gameplay. We implemented our exclusive SYNCourt™ tile technology to provide a more reliable smooth flow on the rink surface. Thanks to SYNLawn® Indiana’s efforts, the museum’s one million plus annual visitors now have an all-weather playing experience that blends in with the natural terrain.
