Last month SYNLawn installed its cutting-edge, Indiana artificial grass as part of one of the largest Good Bones: Risky Business projects to date. The project was completed at Charlotte Hall and came just in time to host an absolutely beautiful wedding for Indiana residents, Mel and Curtis. Charlotte Hall’s landscape was outfitted with SYNAugustine X47, one of our most durable and soft synthetic grass solutions available. In addition, this Indiana artificial grass installation included many other transformations including a brand-new kitchen island, a reimagined speakeasy, and a wine cellar.
“I’ve been renovating homes for more than a decade, taking on some of the nastiest houses you can imagine,” said Mina. “Now I’m taking on my dream project, turning a massive Victorian-style property into a bed and breakfast/event space, but it could easily become a nightmare. It’s a huge risk, but I love a challenge!” – via Mina Starsaik Hawk & HGTV
Mina Starsaik Hawk has more than a decade of experience renovating properties. Good Bones: Risky Business, is Mina’s 6-part solo spin-off program, where she boldly purchases the historic Sanders House in Indianapolis. The Sanders House is on a 7,000-square-foot property, is more than a century old, and is the largest project Mina has ever taken on and we are happy to have aided in her success.
“Plush #SYNLawn #SYNAugustineX47 artificial turf adds the perfect warmth and low maintenance to our biggest and most extraordinary #GoodBones project to date, Charlotte Hall. Using #SoybeanOil and anti-microbial additives, this turf is the most technologically advanced, and environmentally friendly grass available,” said Mina Starsiak Hawk via Two Chicks and a Hammer Instagram.
SYNAugustine X47 represents a new generation of technologically advanced Indiana artificial grass. It mixes soft yet dense omega-shaped multi-colored grass blades with dense thatch to create gorgeous synthetic grass. SYNAugustine X47 also includes many exclusive features and benefits not found in competing brands. This includes enhanced fire safety with a Class A fire rating, our one and only Super Yarn™ formula combining antimicrobial, antistatic, and IR reflective properties, IPEMA and ADA compliance, our plant based EnviroLoc+ backing system, and so much more.
One of the other major reasons Two Chicks and a Hammer chose SYNLawn Indiana artificial grass for this project is due to our environmentally friendly materials. SYNLawn utilizes renewable soybeans, sugar cane, and other recyclable materials to promote water conservation and significantly reduce carbon emissions. Our products are especially beneficial in parts of the United States that are suffering from increasing drought conditions. Furthermore, as a result of our commitment to environmental sustainability, SYNLawn is the first and only company that offers a collection of USDA-certified artificial turf containing more than 60% plant-based content and up to a game-changing 80% in combination with EnviroLoc+™.
With SYNLawn Indiana’s turf installation, the wedding guests of Charlotte Hall were able to enjoy cool-to-the-touch artificial turf. In the event that weather took a turn for the worst, SYNAugustine X47 provides optimal drainage to allow for use almost immediately after rain falls. This superior drainage capability also ensures that the soil beneath the Charlotte Hall installation continues to receive nutrients that would otherwise be lost to competing brand synthetic turf. This is especially important for property owners looking for long-term environmental sustainability features.
